10EAZY Sound Level Meter

10EaZy is a sound level meter designed for the live sound and entertainment industry.
It helps venues measure and control the sound pressure levels of their events, and comply with local noise regulations.
It not only shows a precise numeric sound level reading, but also predicts how this will change in the future. You don’t need any special skills or knowledge to use it, as it has been designed to be straightforward and user-friendly.

Product Features:

  • A clear, simple screen that displays all the information you need, specifically engineered to work with the ready-to-use hardware supplied with the device.
  • The MAM (Maximum Average Manager): Leq limits measure the average loudness of sound over time. 10EaZy helps you adjust your sound to this Leq limit with the MAM. The MAM shows you how far above or below the limit you are with red and green blocks. This helps you manage music playback levels for an enjoyable audience experience.
  • The history display helps you remember the past sound level for the Leq period. The graph also has a red line for the average dB limit. This allows you to find time-specific sound level readings.
  • Tamper-proof plug and play solution that ensures accurate and calibrated measurements, straight out of the box.  All you need to add is a suitable Windows device.

Where would we use the 10EaZy?

We would recommend 10EaZy to any venue that provides music for a number of reasons. These include reducing noise complaints, improving sound quality, and increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty for your events. 10EaZy helps to create a safer listening experience that also meets with neighbours’ requirements for managed sound levels.

Some examples of venues that could benefit from installing the 10EaZy are:

  • Music venues: Music venues that host live concerts, shows, or performances, such as pubs, bars and concert venues can use 10EaZy to monitor the sound levels of their events and ensure that they are safe and comfortable for the audience and performers.
  • Cinemas: Cinemas can adjust the sound levels according to the preferences of their customers and industry standards.
  • Houses of worship: Houses of worship can use 10EaZy to measure the sound levels of their services and ceremonies and ensure that they are not too loud for the congregation and the neighbours.

These are just some examples of venues that could install 10EaZy, but there are countless other venues that could benefit from using this device.

Protecting our ears:

Loud music can damage the tiny hair cells in the inner ear, that convert sound into electric signals. These hair cells cannot be repaired once they are destroyed. Hearing loss from loud music can be temporary or permanent, depending on the intensity and duration of the noise exposure. Not only can this cause long lasting hearing loss, and tinnitus, but hearing loss can also increase the risk of dementia. According to the NTIA’s research, in their ‘Listen For Life’ campaign, 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults are at risk of permanent hearing loss from recreational sound. 10EaZy is an ideal solution for venues needing to monitor sound levels, and keep the volume at a safe level for listeners, protecting young people’s ears from permanent damage.

Save your venue from Noise Complaints:

An estimated 35% of grassroots music venues in the UK have closed in the last 20 years, according to Music Venue Trust (MVT). According to its figures, 48 venues have closed in the last 12 months, and a number of these have been due to noise complaints. 10EaZy notifies staff when noise limits are reached, and also provide time specific reports, which can prove your venue is keeping noise levels at a safe and responsible level.
